If You Want Great Pictures Then Read These Tips For Digital Photography Now
Most people are under the illusion that to be a good digital photographer all you need to do is buy a good expensive camera. Sorry to burst some peoples bubble but this is just not true, if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it well. The camera cannot choose the mode, viewpoint, lighting or even the subject which is being photographed. Its the person taking the photo that captures the shot and hopefully with these few tips for digital photography we can help you to capture great pictures.
1. Most people when they are out and about taking pictures keep the camera setting on auto. The auto setting is the default setting for the digital camera and even though its fine for most snapshots, it can leave your photos looking cold and flat. You will also be surprised by changing the auto setting on the camera to the cloudy setting. This change will increase the reds and yellows coming out in the pictures and give them a warmer feel. By choosing this setting you will in fact be adding a warmer filter to your digital camera. Try this for yourself. Go out on a bright day and take a few shots with the auto setting and then take the same pictures with the cloudy setting and check for the difference. Place them onto your computer screen and see what you think. See what you think. 2. This is a simple tip for you really but its one that some people have missed in the past. When buying a new digital camera always factor in the price of a larger memory card. The standard memory cards that are sold along with the cameras will generally not hold alto of pictures. Especially if your camera is over 3 mega pixels. I would recommend getting a 512mb memory card for cameras of 4 mega pixels or less and a 1Gb memory card for a 6 mega pixel camera or greater. Its better to be safe rather than sorry. This will stop you getting caught on the hop when you dint need it. 3. Another little unknown setting on your digital camera is the macro mode or close up mode. It doesn't matter what object you are taking a picture of, it will take on a whole different life with the macro mode switched on. This mode is very easy to achieve with a digital camera. This macro mode or close mode is really good for nature type pictures like leaves or flowers but just remember that the macro mode has a smaller depth of field. When taking the picture make sure to keep the main object of your picture right in the centre of the cameras frame. I hope these tips for digital photography will help you in some way to achieving your goal and maybe have you taking great pictures. Share this guide with : |
